Hey! Dr. Sean here, and I wanna go over three simple, yet super effective things that you can do after an injury to help you get better faster. And the first thing is so easy yet so many people do not practice this, and it is being properly hydrated. Now, for adults, bare minimum, we have to be drinking sixty four ounces of water per day.
And for you specifically, I want you to be drinking half of your body weight in ounces per day.

So for instance, if you weigh two hundred pounds, that would mean you would be drinking one hundred ounces of water per day. And one thing that I do in the morning that will help flush the system is we’re gonna be starting with eight to sixteen ounces of water with fresh lemon juice. OK? And we drink that, then wait at least fifteen minutes before having any type of breakfast or other liquids.

The second thing that you can do is making sure that you’re sleeping enough. For adults, that’s going be in between seven and nine hours per day. That’s recommended by the mayo clinic. And if we’re an infant, that means you would be sleeping up to seventeen hours per day. And why? Infants are sleeping more and children are sleeping more than adults is because as the body is growing. The body needs more time resting in order to make new tissues and new cells [for infants and children].

The same thing goes after you are injured. The body needs more time as you’re sleeping to recover, to build and make new cells which are replaced by the injured unhealthy cells.

The last thing is that you can practice an anti inflammatory diet. Pro inflammatory type foods are gonna be things like corn oil, vegetable oil, trans, fats, and process type of foods are So we can substitute those with anti inflammatory type foods, which some very simple ones that I’m gonna give you today include garlic, pineapple, which has bromelian in it, circumin and fresh fish, being here for us in Florida, it’s very easy for us to get.

All of those are going to decrease swelling, deep, increase inflammation in the joints and help get you better faster and recover from your injuries. And we have anti inflammatory supplements here that can help you along the way with having that in your diets.
